PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a person who is identifying a photographed object with effective information for identifying the object so as to realize precise and speedy object identification. SOLUTION: An object identification support system analyses a photographed image, makes rough estimation of the size of the object from the object area, detection resolution and distance d, retrieves the object corresponding to the range of the size, develops the three dimensional graphics of the object in a virtual space, assumes a camera frame of photographing the object based on the camera pitch angle P, camera roll angle R and the distance d obtained by actual measurement, generates image data of the object model L053 projected on the frame depending on the detection resolution of photographing the object, and displays a simulated image based on the image data on the image display device 8 in contrast with the photographed image, thereby enabling to calculate the size of the object by considering the traveling direction and to display by selecting and turning the object.
