PURPOSE: To convert a certain KANA (Japanese syllabary) character string to a KANJI (Chinese character) character string provided with a certain conversion format (the information of TAB and line feed, etc.). CONSTITUTION: Conversion information provided with conversion format information (the information of TAB and line feed, etc.,) is stored in a special dictionary file 14 beforehand. Then, when the KANA character string is inputted and a conversion operation is instructed from an input device 18, a control part 10 reads the conversion information pertinent to the inputted KANA character string from the special dictionary file 14, converts the conversion format information in the read conversion information into actual control codes (a TAB code and a line feed code, etc.,) and thus, displays and outputs the KANJI character string matched with the conversion format to a display device 20. |
