PURPOSE:To obtain a liquid-filled damping device exerting the optimum characteristic in any direction of a vehicle vertically, longitudinally and laterally by effectively damping and reducing the input vibration in the axial direction of an inner tube and an outer tube with the flowing resistance of a filled liquid, and making the cross section shape of a vibration-proof rubber layer different at necessary positions in the peripheral direction. CONSTITUTION:A vibration-proof rubber body 3 is provided between an outer tube 1 and an inner tube 2 arranged concentrically with it, and a sealed space is formed in the vibration-proof rubber body 3 as a liquid chamber. A partition wall 4 extended toward the outer periphery of the inner tube 2 and dividing the liquid chamber into two in the axial direction and forming a throttle passage F connecting the divided liquid chambers A and B is provided on the inner periphery of the outer tube 1, a vibration-proof rubber layer 5 is formed on the inner periphery of the partition wall 4 so that its inner periphery is slidably contacted with the outer periphery of the inner tube 2, and the cross section shape of the vibration-proof rubber layer 5 in the dameter direction is made different from other portions. When vibration is inputted from the axial direction, the inner tube 2 and the outer tube 1 are largely relatively moved in the axial direction, liquid chambers A and B are deformed, the sealed liquid flows in the throttle passage F, thus an effective vibration damping action is exerted. |
