PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezoelectric transformer of high porcelain strength capable of stably outputting a high electric power even if a temperature changes. SOLUTION: A voltage input A1 and a voltage output B1 are alternately formed in the lengthwise direction of a piezoelectric substrate 11 in which both main surfaces are rectangles of a length L and a width W. The voltage input A1 and the voltage output B1 are provided with input side electrodes 12, 13, 15, and 16, and output side electrodes 14 and 17, respectively. The ratio (L/W), where L is the length of the main surface and W is the width of it, of the piezoelectric substrate is 1.1-1.4. The piezoelectric substrate 11 comprises Pb(ZrTi)O3 composite oxide. An A site comprises at least one kind selected from among Ba, Sa, and Ca. A B site comprises Nb, Yb, and Mn. The absolute value of the temperature coefficient of the elastic constant in the widthwise direction of the piezoelectric substrate 11 is 60 ppm/ deg.C or below. |
