<p>A method of making a structure by stereolithography. The method comprising producing a structure comprising sets of parallel plates (13, 15, 17). The plates (13, 15, 17) are provided in three different levels in a repeating pattern, with each set of plates in an adjacent level rotated through 120° such that in plan view the plates (13, 15, 17) define a plurality of hexagonal formations. The invention also comprises a method of producing a mould, the method comprising forming a pattern of an item to be cast in the form of an object made according to the above mentioned method, forming a coating around the pattern, and subsequently removing the pattern from within the coating to form a mould.</p> |
