PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of forming a coating film excellent in operability on operation and finishing properties and in which the generation of scum is prevented and further excellent in coating film physical properties such as tactile perception, natural coloring, fragrantness and moisture absorbing/releasing properties though it is a material comprising a vegetable granular body. SOLUTION: In the method of forming a coating film for building interior, paints consisting of the two components of a base paint (I) comprising a cationic water-dispersible resin liquid of pH≤7 in 1 to 50 wt.% by a solid content and an aggregate (II) comprising a vegetable granular body subjected to ultraviolet-resisting treatment are mixed on use to form a coating film. As for the mixing ratio thereof, the ratio of the aggregate (II) is desirably controlled to 10 to 500 pts.wt. to 100 pts.wt. of the solid content of the cationic water-dispersible resin liquid in the base paint (I).
