<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a resin for toner, having little impurities with good productivity at a low cost by adding hydroxides of alkaline earth metals before polymn. is substantially started. SOLUTION: Before polymn. is substantially started, hydroxides of alkaline earth metals or hydroxides of alkaline earth metals and an electrolyte are added, and the temp. of the mixture is raised to start polymn. In this case, the polymn. process of the polymerizable vinyl monomers is carried out by a well-known method. The polymerizable monomers used are, for example, vinyl monomers, and all of well-known vinyl monomers can be used. As for hydroxides of alkaline earth metals, calcium hydroxide, barium hydroxide, etc., can be used, and especially calcium hydroxide is preferable. After the polymn. is completed, the polymer is subjected to normal washing, dehydrating and drying processes by a well-known method to obtain the objective product.</p> |
