Stator misalignment avoidance in small motor - involves compensation for production tolerances by use of elastic locking members

The small electric motor has its stator assembly simplified and the unwanted effects of production tolerance avoided by mounting the stator into its support elastically via stops. When the stator is locked elastically into its support, the stops define its position precisely. The stator has recesses into which elastic members on the support locate. The support may be made of an elastic thermoplastic material with the elastic members forming an integral part of it. The positioning stops may be ridges integral with the support and enclosing the stator on all sides.
