PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To objectively and accurately judge mental stress even when a subject has irregular pulses or the like. SOLUTION: While applying temporary stress through a task/rest presenter 11, a heartbeat correspondent data sampling device 21 measures the pulsing signal of the subject and an RRI detection circuit 22 detects the RRI of pulsing intervals. A sympathetic nerve/parasympathetic nerve activity degree calculation circuit 24 finds a distribution area intask state and rest state expressed on a two-dimensional plane by calculating the degree of diffusion in RRI data, and a mental stress judging circuit 14 judges the presence/absence of mental stress from the position of that judgment area. When there are defective data caused by irregular pulses in heartbeat correspondent data during this operation, such a section is skipped by a defective data removal circuit 23. |
