FIELD: medicine.SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to surgical treatment of macular holes on their first stage without vitrectonomy. Method for treating the first stage of a macular rupture, which involves the separation of the posterior hyaloid membrane from the vitreous body includes inserting an ophthalmic membrane spatula through the vitreous body until it comes into contact with the posterior hyaloid membrane (PHM) near the macule, a hole in the PHM is made and the PHM is lifted by holding the edge of the hole until it detaches from the foveola; the ophthalmological membrane spatula containing a handle and a pointed tip has a hook-shaped sharpened working part.EFFECT: group of inventions allows to reduce the surgical injury rate of the surgical treatment of the first stage of a macular rupture and decrease the number of related complications.2 cl, 2 dwg |
