PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet type recorder head, capable of discharging much ink with low power because it is equipped with a piezoelectric element having specified crystal structure. SOLUTION: This piezoelectric element has a piezoelectric layer 41, having a ferroelectric having a perovskite crystal structure and upper and lower electrodes 42, 43 sandwiching the piezoelectric layer 41. The perovskite crystal structure of the piezoelectric layer 41 is a tetragonal system and set so that the (001) and (111) face orientations are mixed, the ratio of the orientational proportion of the (001) face orientation to the film thickness is greater than that of the (111) face orientation to the film thickness. |
