<p>A method for preparing dimethyl carbonate(DMC) is provided to improve the production yield by using an ionic liquid in supercritical carbon dioxide and to simplify reaction process. A method for preparing dimethyl carbonate comprises the steps of injecting carbon dioxide, 0.01-2 mol of iodomethane, 0;.01-5 mol of an ionic liquid selected from [bmin][PF6], [bmin][BF4], [omin][PF6] and [omin][BF4], 0.01-2 mol of sodium methoxide and 0.1 mol of potassium carbonate as a catalyst to the concentration of carbon dioxide into a reactor to react them; cooling it to 0 deg.C after the termination of reaction; and ventilating slowly the vent line after the termination of cooling, wherein gaseous DMC is produced by passing a cooling trap filled with DMA, and the residue of the reactor is dissolved in acetone to product liquid DMC.</p> |
