PURPOSE:To improve bending elastic modulus and tensile elastic modulus without deteriorating tension and elongation, by melt-mixing 6-nylon with a prescribed quantity of 6,6-nylon and shaping the mixture below a prescribed temperature not lower than the melting point of the 6-nylon. CONSTITUTION:94-70wt% of 6-nylon and 6-30wt% of 6,6-nylon are molten and mixed each other at a temperature not lower than the melting point of the 6,6- nylon so that a master batch is prepared. The master batch is thereafter mixed with 6-nylon so that the 6,6-nylon content of the mixture is 0.05-3wt%. The mixture is then shaped at a temperature not lower than the melting point of the 6-nylon but not higher than 250 deg.C. As for the relative visocity of the 6-nylon and the 6,6-nylon, 2.5-4.5 is preferable. To prepare the master batch, an extruding machine and a kneader such as a Bunbury's mixer are used, the 6-nylon and the 6,6-nylon are molten and mixed with each other at a temperature of 265-295 deg.C and the mixture is cut off as strands or sheets or pulverized. |
