PURPOSE:To stabilize the quality of a welded joint and to suppress the deformation thereof by coating an antioxidant on joint surfaces then subjecting the surfaces to seal welding and pressurizing the joint surfaces while heating locally the surfaces thereby executing diffusion welding. CONSTITUTION:The antioxidant is coated on the joint surfaces of an upper pressure-resistant shell part 4 and a lower pressure-resistant shell part, then the joint surfaces are mated with each other and are subjected to outside seal welding 6 and inside seal welding 7. The seal welding is executed by electron beam welding or TIG welding. Coils such as an outside induction coil 2 for the equator, an inside induction coil 3 or an outside induction coil 8 and inside induction coil 9 for scarf welding are installed to the part to be subjected to diffusion welding of the part 4 and part 5 which are sealed by the seal welding according to the required quantity of heat input. The assembly is stored in an external pressure loading device 1, by which the external pressure is loaded thereto. The part to be joined is further heated to solutionize the antioxidant coated on the joint surface to titanium. The diffusion welding is thus completed. |
