PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for regulating the frequency of a high frequency crystal resonator with desired precision. SOLUTION: The method for regulating the frequency of a high frequency crystal resonator comprises a step for reducing the thickness of the electrode of a crystal piece to have a frequency slightly higher than a reference frequency, and a step for increasing the thickness of the electrode to have a frequency matching the reference frequency or close to the reference frequency from the freaquency slightly higher than the reference frequency.
