<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cultivation tool for Japanese yam or the like, enabling easy check of a growth state of emergent yam by visual observation and hand feeling. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This cultivation tool for Japanese yam or Chinese yam is composed of a gutter-like emergent yam receiver (12) which is buried in the ground and puts emergent yam grown from seed yam (S) and earth into a noncontact condition, an exterior body (13) which is detachably covered on the emergent yam receiver (12) and prevents emergent yam in the emergent yam receiver and earth from contacting with each other, a water supply body which is detachably covered on the emergent yam receiver together with the exterior body, and formed with water supply holes (14a and 24a) for supplying water to the emergent yam receiver, and a drainage part (12a) which is formed on the emergent yam receiver for draining surplus water in the emergent yam receiver.
