<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate creation of a data map being of high usability by reducing data evaluation work. <P>SOLUTION: An example of creation of a two-dimensional map using applicant-International Patent Classification IPC as an evaluation axis is explained. IPC items of each record on a basic data sheet DS are totaled, duplication is removed, rearranged in an order of appearance frequency, listed and accumulated on an evaluation sheet HS (S300). Applicants are totaled from the DS, duplication is removed, rearranged in the order of appearance frequency, listed and accumulated on the HS (S302). The evaluation items of IPC on the DS are imparted by simplified codes (S304) and evaluation items of the applicants on the DS are imparted by simplified code (S306). The applicants on the HS are arranged in the horizontal direction on the map sheet MS in an order of the simplified codes (S308), the DSs are rearranged by considering the simplified codes corresponding to the IPC are first priority and considering the simplified codes of the applicants as second priority (S310). The simplified codes corresponding to the IPC and the simplified codes of the applicants are acquired by every record from the rearranged DSs and records are edited and arranged at cell positions of the MS using a horizontal axis as the applicants and the vertical axis as the IPC (S314, 316). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
