<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure that a jointly used power supply for an imaging device is not unpreparedly switched OFF. <P>SOLUTION: In this imaging device, a control program prepares the termination of operation of a main body system (step S302) when the shutdown of a power supply for the device is instructed (step S301). In concrete terms, the processing of an application/system presently in operation is terminated, then data under processing are stored in a non-volatile device (HDD, NVRAM or the like) if necessary; and the device is set in a standby state. Next, the control program confirms whether the termination of the operation of the system is completely prepared (step S303); after the preparation for the termination is totally prepared, a power supply for HDD is switched OFF (step S304); and subsequently the main power supply is switched OFF by controlling a port of a power supply circuit by means of software (step S305). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
