PURPOSE:To extract many windows by the memory of small capacity by renewing the output data of a memory for storing the leading address of a window number memory when the line address in reading picture data or window data exceeds a prescribed line address. CONSTITUTION:For instance, when the reading of the picture data of a Yj line is completed, a one line completion signal SCAED is outputted from a picture memory address generating part 9, and after the next processing is carried out, the value of the data (2) of the Y memory 2 is preset to a number memory counter 5. The Y address for reading the picture data of the next line goes to Yj+1, it is compared with the data (1) Yk of the Y memory 2, and when Yk>=Yj+1, the data (2) of the Y memory 2 namely the value of B is preset to the number memory counter 5 to carry out the similar processing to the Yj line. The similar operation is repeated to a Yk line. When the Y address for reading the picture data goes to YK+1, a comparator 10 outputs a pulse signal MCP and increases the value of a Y memory counter 11 by one. Thereby, the output data of the Y memory 2 is renewed and the data (1) goes to Yl, and the data (2) has the value of C.
