PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a telephone set which has the improved user-friendliness at transmission in comparison with a conventional communication device with a message transmission function and can transmit messages. SOLUTION: A message sending device is provided with a message sending device besides a known telephone set function part, and this message sending device is provided with a sending a message storage part 52 where the telephone number of a speech destination, a call signal frequency (call time),and a message group made to correspond to this call signal frequency are stored, a sending message input part 55 for information input to the sending message storage part 52, a transmission information output part 54 which outputs one of messages stored in the sending message storage part 52 correspondingly to the call signal frequency to a telephone line L in accordance with control of a sending message selection part 53, the sending message selection part 53 which controls the sending message storage part 52, the sending message input part 55, and the sending information output part 54, and a transmission information control part 51 which transfers the control to the sending message selection part 53 in accordance with a message transmission mode switching signal.
