<p>PURPOSE:To easily and highly accurately form a projection for preventing tape vibration on the outer peripheral face of a fixed cylinder used for a rotating magnetic head cylinder in a helical scan system. CONSTITUTION:The head of a pressurizing machine tool 30 is pushed against the outer peripheral face of a cylinder 20 fixed on the main shaft of a numercal control turn table used for working the tape traveling face of the fixed cylinder 20 and the helical lead. The pressurizing machine tool 30 is fitted to the blade stand of the numerical control turn table, the head is recessed, and the surrounding of a recessed part 32 is made into a circular blade edge 33. With pushing the pressurizing machine tool 30, the circular blade edge 33 is made to cut into the outer peripheral face of the fixed cylinder 20. Since the cylinder body excluded by this cutting flows into the recessed part 32 inside the blade edge 33 and fills it up, a projection 24 for preventing tape vibration is formed on the outer peripheral face of the fixed cylinder 20.</p> |
