A method of detecting cancer in a patient, in which the amount of protein fragments comprising at least one amino-acid sequence selected from the group consisting of the amino-acid sequence (SEQ ID NO: 1) and homologues thereof, and the amino-acid sequence (SEQ ID NO: 2) and homologues thereof, is measured in a sample of body fluid or suspected cells from said patient, is disclosed. Also, the above polypeptides, fusion proteins, RNA and DNA sequences relevant to the polypeptides and fusion proteins, antibodies raised against the polypeptides, fusion proteins, corresponding antigen-mimicking structures or synthetic antibody-mimicking structures complementary to the pertinent epitopes, and diagnostic kits, are disclosed. |
