<p>PURPOSE: To stabilize the electrification property of a toner for a long time and to extend lives of a toner and a carrier. CONSTITUTION: An electrostatic charge image formed on a photoreceptor is developed by using a two-component developer containing at least a magnetic carrier and a toner, and then the toner image formed on the photoreceptor is transferred to a transfer material by using a transfer belt. In this method, the toner used contains toner particles containing a fixing resin and carbon black dispersed in the resin but contains no charge controlling agent. The fixing resin consists of a compsn. containing a resin having isolated or neutralized anionic polar groups. The carbon black used satisfies conditions of pH <7 and 0.010<=(7-pH)/specific surface area (m<2> /g)<=0.050.</p> |
