Insulation piercing contact system for insulated cable

The electrical contact 22 is of a generally tubular form and is set into a housing 24. The contact is shaped with a rolled over section with a pointed tip 22S. The end of the cable 20 is inserted until a stop is engaged. A sleeve 10 is pushed into position until a tip section 16I pushes against the rolled over section and the tip is forced through the insulation to contact the cable core.
