PURPOSE:To allow the common development of photosensitive planographic printing plates and to allow the common processing of both even in a post-processing by processing the planographic printing plates with a substantially unused developer common for negative and positive, then processing the plates with a desensitizing liquid in common use as a rinse to be repetitively used while replenishing a replenishing liquid thereto. CONSTITUTION:After the photosensitive planographic printing plates are processed with the substantially unused developer common for negative and positive, the plate are processed with the desensitizing liquid in common use as the rinse to be repetitively used while the replenishing liquid is replenished thereto. The developer components carried in by sticking to the developed planographic printing plates, the compsn. of the dissolved photosensitive layers, etc., are, therefore, dispersed and stabilized and the effect of removing the alkaline developer sticking to the developed planographic printing plates and changing the non-image parts of the plates to the property having the high affinity to water after drying is obtd. Since there is no need for washing the plates prior to erasing by an erasing liquid, the post-processing is simplified. The negative type PS plate and the positive type PS plate are commonly developed in this way and the post-processing is commonly executable as well. |
