A plaster statue produced by covering a styrofoam statue with plaster is provided to reduce the weight by 1/3 or 1/5 of the weight of a general plaster statue, to restore a damaged part due to external impact only by applying the plaster, to cut down the manufacturing cost, and to shorten the manufacturing time by using polystyrene with quick drying property cheaper than plaster. A method for manufacturing a plaster statue by covering a styrofoam statue with plaster comprises the steps of: preparing a styrofoam statue mold copying from a model; pressing the mold and injecting styrofoam(foam polystyrene); separating the mold and taking out the styrofoam statue; equally applying the plaster on the completed styrofoam statue; and finishing the styrofoam plaster statue.
