The container for material (10) consists of a drum (12) for holding goods and an intermediate conveyor (14) for conveying it further. The drum has protruding elastic fingers (16) which are preferably not controlled and which have a non-operating position directed radially in relation to the drum. The drum has carrier elements spaced axially apart between each two of which is placed at least one conveyor element (18) of the intermediate conveyor. A scraper (28) has tines (20) which are curved contrary to the rotational direction of the intermediate conveyor.
