PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air tire for a heavy load which is provided with a rib pattern on its tread surface and which enables its railway abrasion resistance to improve. SOLUTION: For the air tire for a heavy load whose multiple main grooves 2 stretching in zigzag in a periphery direction T of the tire are arranged on a tread surface 1, and an uneven rib 3 is formed by the main grooves 2 on the side stretching in the periphery direction T of the tire, a convexity 3A of the side of the rib 3 on the tread surface 1 is formed on an inclined surface inclining toward inside in a diameter direction of the tire to a width direction M of the tire, and a difference X in the diameter direction of the tire between a center C of the rib 3 in the width direction of the tire and an end 3B of the convexity 3 in the width direction of the tire on the tread surface 1 is determined at 4-10% of a depth h of the main grooves 2. |
