PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper feeder that can suitably determine whether or not paper is present and paper feeding has been securely performed by using one sensor.SOLUTION: A paper feeder 1 includes: a paper feeding cassette 3 on which paper sheets P are stacked and accommodated; a paper feeding roller 12 for sending out the paper sheets P to outside of the paper feeding cassette 3; a paper feeding sensor 21 disposed on the downstream side in the paper feeding direction relative to the paper feeding roller 12 to detect the paper sheets P sent out to outside of the paper feeding cassette 3; and a displacement section 30 displaced corresponding the residual amount of the paper sheets P stacked on the paper feeding cassette 3. In the paper feeder 1, based on the displacement of the displacement section 30, the paper feeding sensor 21 detects the presence/absence of the paper sheets P stacked on the paper feeding cassette 3.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
