PURPOSE:To improve a coloring property of the titled material and to uniformly disperse a coupler to an emulsion by incorporating to a silver halide emulsion layer, a phenolic compd. and a coupler in which all electrolytic groups existing in a molecule thereof has a specific pKa. CONSTITUTION:A silver halide emulsion layer comprises the phenolic compd. and the coupler in which all electrolytic groups existing in the molecule thereof has >=10pKa. By incorporating the prescribed coupler to said layer, as the substd. phenol having an electron attractive group is not introduced to the molecule of coupler, a solubility of the coupler to an oil increases, thereby enabling to uniformly dispersing the coupler to the emulsion. By incorporating said phenolic compd. to the titled material, a deterioration of coloring may be prevented, thereby uniformly dispersing the coupler into said emulsion and increasing the coloring. |
