PURPOSE:To obtain a coated steel which is excellent in workability in the application of primer and good in high temperature adhesion and high temperature corrosion resistance by a method wherein a specific epoxy primer layer, a modified polyolefin resin layer, and a polyolefin resin layer are successively laminated on a chromate-treated steel surface. CONSTITUTION:For a polyolefin coated steel, a primer consisting of a qlycidyl amine compound wherein two qlycidyl ether groups and one qlycidylaminomethyl group are provided on an aromatic ring and an epoxy resin composition containing bisphenol type qlycidyl ether is applied, at first, onto a chromate treated steel surface. Herein, the qlycidyl amine compound should preferably have 90-130 epoxy equivalent, and 180 deg.C or higher glass transition temperature. A modified polyolefin resin layer and a polyolefin resin layer are successively laminated on the primer layer. Thereby, the polyolefin-coated steel which is excellent in high temperature adhesion and high temperature corrosion resistance is obtained. |
