<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell, a fuel system and a method for warming the fuel cell which allows for warming up the fuel cell in a short time by a warming means of a small capacity ( for example, an electric heater). <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell contains a plurality of heat-exchanging medium circulation channels 201 independently of one other, inlets 202, 204, 206 and 208, and outlets 203, 205, 207 and 209. Selection of a plurality of the heat-exchanging medium circulation channels enables heat-exchanging medium circulating regions to be so selected that parts of regions in the fuel cell is warmed up, by circulating the heat-exchanging medium in the part in the fuel cell at warming-up thereby, since the part in the fuel cell has a small heat capacity, for reducing the capacity of the warming means to warm the heat-exchanging medium. The regions as a whole are warmed up, by making the warmed heat-exchanging medium circulate sequentially via a plurality of channels throughout the fuel cell. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
