<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide organic electrolyte formed by lithium salt and organic solvent, containing oxalate compounds, and a lithium cell adopting the electrolyte. <P>SOLUTION: This organic electrolyte contains oxalate compounds and improves conductivity of lithium ions with stabilizing lithium metal. The organic electrolyte is applied to the lithium cell using a lithium metal electrode as an anode, and the charging/discharging property is improved. Particularly when this organic electrolyte is used for a lithium sulfur cell, the ion conductivity is improved by lithium ions chelated to the oxalate compounds and the charging/discharging efficiency is improved, and the sulfur reversible capacity is enlarged by preventing bonding between the lithium ions and sulfide anions and heightening solubility of sulfide. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
