The circuit (10) has a connection terminal (X1) which, when switching on manually, is connected to a pole of the supply voltage via a first control switch (36), producing a start signal with a falling edge. When switching on automatically, the connection terminal is connected via an electronic circuit to a pole of the supply voltage. The electronic circuit is activated by a second control switch (42) which is moved form an active to an inactive position.
