PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a corrugated fiberboard sheet capable of sufficiently preventing moisture from infiltrating from the flute side of the corrugated fiberboard sheet even in such conditions that it is brought into contact with a large amount of water content for a long time or sprayed with a large amount of water for cooling or washing contents. SOLUTION: This water-resistant core is a core of a corrugated fiberboard and has R6 or more surface water repellency (JIS P8137) and <=30 g/m2 cup water absorbing capacity (JIS P8140; contact time is 30 min) at one side and R2 or less surface water repellency at the other side.
