<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power transmission mechanism and a power seat slide device of low cost, free from the rattling and capable of reducing the noise. <P>SOLUTION: In this power transmission mechanism, a first hole 110c of an output shaft (first shaft) 11a has the approximately circular sectional shape, and a groove 110d for fitting a sectional angular part of an end part 501a of a flexible shaft 501 is formed on its inner peripheral face.
