The crate (1) comprises a first transversal side wall (4), which can be manually torn by a user from the rest of the crate. The other side walls (15) of the tray are exclusively fixed to the other side walls of the lid (3) by one or several partially pre-cut portions (16, 17) and/or several gluing points enabling the walls to be dismantled by manually moving them apart and exerting a force in a perpendicular position to said walls. It also provides a machine for the production of the crate.
