THREE-DIMENSIONAL INFORMATION RECORDING AND REPRODUCING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording and reproducing apparatus which dispenses with an interruption layer and therefore enables information recording density in three dimensional directions to be increased.

SOLUTION: Guide marks having optical characteristics different from the optical characteristics of an information recording part are made to exist so that a region where impulse response is present exists three-dimensionally symmetrically using the principle of two-photon absorption. Since the marks can be three-dimensionally separated and read even when mark intervals are made close, reduction in the mark intervals that is difficult in a conventional multilayered disk can be performed and recording density per volume can be enhanced.
