PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joint structure capable of properly connecting mutual water cutoff plates without performing adhesion and welding, and a connecting method using this joint structure in execution work of the water cutoff plates. SOLUTION: This joint structure is used for mutually connecting the water cutoff plates arranged in a joint and a successively jointing part of the structure, and has openings 6 on both ends, and a fitting part 7 continuing with the openings 6 for inserting and fitting the water cutoff plates 3. This connecting method uses the joint structure.
