PURPOSE:To make the bottom of the cover of a developing machine shallower and, at the same time, minimize the size of the developing machine, by returning developer to the paddle by utilizing the magnetic force of a magnetic roll. CONSTITUTION:The developer is returned in such a way that the remaining developer after development is dropped onto a developing sleeve 16 while the sleeve 6 attracting the agent by means of the magnetic force of a magnetic roll 13. Then the developer attracted to the sleeve 16 is scraped down with a scraper 17 and attracted to the lower surface of the scraper 17 by the magnetic force of the roll 13. The agent attracted to the lower surface of the scraper 17 is pushed by developer newly carried and returned to a paddle 14. Therefore, the inclination of the scraper 17 is determined to an appropriate angle by considering the intensity of the magnetic force of the roll 13, intensity of the carrying force of the developer, length of the scraper, gravity of the developer, etc. Since the remaining developer is returned to the paddle by utilizing a magnetic force in micro-toning development in this way, the bottom section of the cover of the developing machine can be made shallower, and thus, the machine can be made small-sized. |
