PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent EGR gas from hitting against an intake throttle valve and thus avoid failure caused by condensation water generated in the intake throttle valve.SOLUTION: Intake air diverting means A for diverting intake air that has passed through an intake throttle valve 4 to a central direction of an intake passage 1 is provided on an inner wall surface of the intake passage 1 on the intake air upstream side of an outlet opening α and on the intake air downstream side of the intake throttle valve 4. As shown in the arrow X, the intake air that has passed through between the intake throttle valve 4 and the inner wall of intake passage 1 is diverted to the central direction of the intake passage 1 by the intake air diverting means A, so that the intake air flows over a downstream surface of the intake throttle valve 4. Thus, this configuration prevents high-temperature EGR gas including steam from coming into contact with the intake throttle valve 4 cooled by the flow of the intake air, so that generation of condensation water in the intake throttle valve 4 can be suppressed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
