<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an environmentally friendly gasoline composition that assures sufficiently practical performance while reducing a sulfur content to 10 mass ppm or less, preferably 1 mass ppm or less and to provide a process for producing the gasoline composition. <P>SOLUTION: The environmentally friendly gasoline composition has an octane number of not less than 92 to not more than 96, a 7C isoparaffin content of 5.0 mass% or more and a 2,2,3-trimethylbutane content of 0.07 mass% or more. The process for producing the gasoline composition comprises the step of subjecting at least a heavy fraction containing at least a fraction having a temperature of 110-130°C produced from a catalytic cracking apparatus to extraction treatment and subjecting the raffinate fraction to isomerization treatment. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
