PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable communication terminal and an emergency notification system for notifying an emergency in real time when it occurs without performing any emergency notifying operation. SOLUTION: The portable communication terminal carried by a monitored person is provided with a movement speed detection means detecting a movement speed of the portable communication terminal, an emergency occurrence recognition means recognizing the occurrence of an emergency based on the detected movement speed, and an emergency notification means notifying the occurrence of the emergency to an external device when the occurrence of the emergency is recognized.
