<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an application tool capable of restraining an unfamiliar noise from being generated when applied, even when reducing an outside diameter of a pen body. <P>SOLUTION: This application tool 1 is constituted to press-in-fix the pen body 3 comprising a fabric worked body or a porous body into a front face opening part inner face of a shaft cylinder 2, and to project a front part of the pen body 3 frontwards from a front end. A pen body fixing part 23c for press-in-fixing a pen body 3 outer face is provided on the front face opening part inner face of the shaft cylinder 2. A relation of A/B≤2.5 is satisfied where A represents an axial length from a front end of the pen body fixing part 23c to the front part of the pen body 3, and B represents the outside diameter of the pen body 3. A radial deflection C of the front end of the pen body 3 is 0.9 mm or less when applying 1 kg of load radially onto the front end of the pen body 3.
