Disclosed are a voice message transmission method and a mobile terminal thereof. The voice message transmission method includes the steps of: sensing a push-to-talk (PTT) recording input which is a user input employed to generate a voice message on a PTT application; determining a dial mode of the voice message based on the type of the PTT voice input; and transmitting the voice message generated by recording the voice of a user on the PTT application in accordance with the determined dial mode.
