<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical recording medium capable of obtaining a satisfactory reflection signal and a push-pull signal amplitude from a recording layer of a reversed lamination structure. <P>SOLUTION: In the optical recording medium 100 having a disk substrate having the reversed lamination structure wherein a reflection layer and a dye recording layer are laminated on a substrate on which pre-grooves having a prescribed groove depth (D) (nm) are formed, the film thickness of the dye recording layer is prepared so that a leveling coefficient C<SB>L</SB>is in the range represented by formula 8.5/D+0.52≤CL≤16/D+0.5. Thereby, the prescribed reflection signal and the push-pull signal amplitude can be obtained from the dye recording layer. The leveling coefficient C<SB>L</SB>is defined as C<SB>L</SB>=1-(d<SB>L</SB>-d<SB>G</SB>)/D (wherein d<SB>L</SB>denotes the film thickness (nm) of a land part in the dye recording layer and d<SB>G</SB>denotes the film thickness (nm) of a groove part in the dye recording layer). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
