GENERAL-PURPOSE REMOTE CONTROLLER AND CONTROL METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A general-purpose remote controller is provided to control machines of any maker without setting of fundamental information and to update a program without limitation. CONSTITUTION: A general-purpose remote controller comprises a remote controller-machine interface(110), a controller(120) and a remote controller-user interface(130). The remote controller-machine interface(110) sends a remote controller signal to a machine to be controlled and downloads volume and color adjustment information from the exterior. The remote controller-user interface(130) displays a screen for machine control to a user and recognizes a command from the user with regard to the displayed screen. The controller(120) downloads machine control information of the controlled machine through the interface(110) and generates a button of a graphic type on a screen of the interface(130) based on the downloaded information. The controller(120) transmits a remote controller signal through the interface(110) according to the machine control information corresponding to the command.
