PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the user's convenience of a gas cutting-off device deciding safety in a moment and dispensing with the opening operation of a cut-off valve by a gas enterpriser for the purpose of resuming the supply of gas. SOLUTION: A control means 8 outputs a cut-off valve closing signal to a cut-off valve drive means 6 on the basis of the abnormality signal from an external abnormality detection means 7 or ultrasonic drive means 3, subsequently outputs a cut-off valve opening signal thereto, and simultaneously outputs a signal performing measurement at an interval shorter than a usual measuring interval to the ultrasonic drive means 3 through a highly accurate measuring mode changeover means 9 to measure a flow rate with high accuracy. By this constitution, safety is decided in a moment and the opening operation of a cut-off valve by a gas enterpriser or a gas user for the purpose of resuming the supply of gas can be dispensed with.
