PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a stable toner layer by providing a toner supply chamber and a toner collection chamber and perfectly separating them through a sheet- like member coming in contact with a developing roll. SOLUTION: This device is provided with the toner supply chamber 12 supplying toner 9 to the developing roll 1 and the toner collection chamber 13 collecting surplus toner regulated by a regulating blade 5, and the chambers 12 and 13 are perfectly separated through the sheet-like member 14 coming in contact with the roll 1. The toner 9 supplied to the chamber 12 by the member 14 is pressed to the roll 1. Furthermore, a carrying paddle carrying new toner 9 in a toner storage chamber 7 proximate to the chambers 12 and 13 together with the toner collected from the chamber 13 to the chamber 12 side is arranged in the chamber 7, and a wall 17 is formed near the paddle so that toner amount near the paddle may not be influenced by the toner amount in the entire chamber 7. |
