A disclosed local exhaust apparatus comprises: a driving part; a swirler disposed near a suction end portion of an exhaust pipe, and rotated by the driving part so as to generate a vortex forming an air curtain around the flow of exhaust air toward the exhaust pipe; an outer side guide member disposed to surround the outer side periphery of the swirler so as to downwardly guide the vortex generated by the swirler; an inner side guide member disposed inside the outer side guide member so as to form, between the inner side and outer side guide members, a vortex flow passage through which the vortex generated by the swirler passes; and a plurality of vortex control plates arranged at the outer side guide member at intervals along the circumferential direction, having a shape in which the vortex control plates are bent from the outer side guide member toward the inner side guide member, and controlling the vortex passing through the vortex flow passage so as to prevent a part of the air of the vortex from flowing inwards. |
